At the beginning of the seventies, the family cheese factory has been founded in Dorgali in order to satisfy the growing demand for Sardinian cheeses in the domestic market.
Since 1990, based on the experience acquired, the business has been diversified and specialized. Sardaforme became leader in the processing and distribution of Ricotta Salata (sheep’s salted ricotta).
In addition to the core business (Ricotta salata), Sardaforme has never forgotten to enhance the other Sardinian PDO cheeses: Pecorino Romano, Pecorino Sardo and Fiore Sardo, successfully promoting them in Italy and abroad.
Sardaforme snc is a family-run company that is dealing with the selection, maturing and packaging of Sardinian typical cheeses for over forty years.
The Company holds the role of trait d'union between selected and certified Sardinian cheese factories and organized distribution as well as importers, specialized distributors, italian and foreign wholesalers.
In 2012, the Company moved in the industrial area of Dorgali, in a new and modern facility with refrigerated cells for the ripening and stocking of the products as well as areas with modern automated lines for portioning, packaging weighing and pricing of the cheeses.
All the handling phases of the goods take place in daily sanitized and controlled temperature areas.
The Company leads strict controls and microbiological analysis through accredited external laboratories and has been certified according to the European food safety standards BRC and IFS.
